Crushing test - IEC 60794-1 Method E3.

Carrying out a crush test on an armored fiber optic cable, in accordance with the IEC 60794-1 Method E3.

The test is conducted by applying up to 400 kilograms of pressure to the cable sample for 15 min. During the test, the cable is connected to a light source and power meter, to verify the signal integrity and relatives losses during the test.

The cable has successfully passed the test, with an attenuation lower than 0.1dB up to 20 daN/cm.
